Trust me, otherwise, my wife would never have done it!Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a moderately scary ride, but not as scary as Expedition Everest or Tower of Terror. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Will Disney do something special for them in the future?There were some special Annual Passholder previews rumored before the park closures, but since that situation, nothing more has been said about it.While Disney hasn’t announced any special events for APs yet, my guess is that they eventually do have some sort of special events for the Passholders. That said, you should be prepared for loud blasts, explosions, and intense battle scenes.Something else to keep in mind is Star Wars Rise of the Resistance does have a “drop” in the escape pod that brings you back down to Batuu from the star destroyer. The technology works well though and the color and clarity of the image is spot on.Also in this room, you get a mission briefing from Lieutenant Bek and Nien Nunb who will be piloting the shuttle you will be taking for your secret mission. There is only 1 drop in the escape pod, and it’s only 10-20 feet high, so not quite as scary as we had thought it might be before riding.Disney has created an advanced simulation for this part of the ride which makes you feel like you are being jettisoned from the star destroyer.
Here guests can step onboard the iconic Millennium Falcon and take control of the ship, actually flying it and working together as a team to complete the mission given. Disney also opened up another big attraction in Hollywood Studios, Honestly Rise of the Resistance is worth it as a ride, to be experienced now. Some previous days this year were as early as 7 and 6 am. It’s almost impossible for an attraction such as this to actually live up to the hype that it was given beforehand. However, it’s not much of a comparison and Rise of the Resistance is the vastly superior attraction.They are both based on the Star Wars franchise, and they both have aspects of flight simulation.
